CSFL Secures Two Team Positions for the 2021 Bassmaster Team Championship
Stouffville, Ontario – Monday, March 8, 2021. The Competitive Sport Fishing League “CSFL” announced today two team positions have been secured for this year’s 2021 Bassmaster Team Championship, which unites top teams from across North America for a position and a shot at what is recognized as the World Cup of Bass Fishing, the 2022 Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic.
The Bassmaster Team Championship will take place December 8-11, 2021 on Lake Eufaula in Alabama, renowned for huge bass. A four day event allowing anglers to compete as a team for two days with plenty of cash and prizes after day two allowing the first, second and third place teams to continue to compete for two additional days as individuals for additional cash and prizes and most importantly a berth into the 2022 Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic.
The CSFL is pleased to announce the 2021 BASSMANIA Tournament Trail All Canadian Team along with the 2021 CSFL Pro Bass Tour Team of the Year will be given the first right of refusal to represent the CSFL and its fellow anglers south of the border with only one event separating them from a chance of a lifetime.
The All Canadian team is determined based on your best 4 out of 4 event points within the Eastern and Western Tour (excluding Wildcard events) using the same point system as Team of the Year plus the National Classic points. The Pro Bass Team of the Year is based on the best 3 out of 4 event points within the Cup Tour including Bronzeback Cup, Franny Cup, Gananoque Cup and Quinte Cup. Should either All Canadian Team or Pro Bass Team of the Year decline the opportunity, the position would then go to the runner up team within the division and so forth until the position is filled. If a team is awarded both All Canadian and Pro Bass Team of the Year, the team will assume both titles, however the team will take the position from their higher points thereby opening a position in the other division to the next highest ranking team who will then fill the position.
“In 2014 the CSFL was one of two recognized qualifying series in Canada by B.A.S.S. that were offered the opportunity to participate in the Bassmaster Team Championship and we are thrilled that we can continue to offer this opportunity to our anglers. It’s programs such as this that maintain CSFL at the forefront of tournament fishing here in Canada.” Andrew Pallotta of the Competitive Sport Fishing League.
